Moving to a new home
Draw the home using the measurements from the listing or the landlord, then place your current furniture. You know what's coming along and what's being sold before you move; you can tell the movers "wardrobe goes in the bedroom, right-hand wall".
Renovation talks
How many square metres will the living room be once the wall comes down, and which wall will the kitchen worktop turn onto? Explain it to your builder with a dimensioned plan, not just words; the quote will match.
Furniture shopping
Enter the size of the sofa you liked in the shop and put it on the plan. If a 240 cm corner sofa blocks the window, you see it before you pay; the dimension line tells you whether there's enough room (75 cm) to pull out chairs around the dining table. Deciding together at home

Garden, balcony and parking
For a detached house, draw the plot boundary: do the pergola, swing and parking space fit in the garden? Whether there's still room to walk past a table and two chairs on the balcony becomes clear as you draw.
The five most common mistakes
They all look small on paper and become big problems at home. Nodaform shows them with dimension lines as you draw; all you have to do is look.
- 01Forgetting the door swing. If the door is 90 cm, it needs a clear 90 cm half-circle behind it; don't put the wardrobe there.
- 02Walkways drop below 60 cm. Leave at least 60 cm between the bed and the wall, and between the sofa and the coffee table; otherwise you'll be squeezing past sideways.
- 03Cabinet doors can't open. Wardrobe doors swing out 50 – 60 cm; a wardrobe right up against the bed will hit it when opened.
- 04No room for dining chairs. You need 75 cm around the table; pulling out a chair and sitting down takes that much space.
- 05Blocking the window. Tall furniture in front of a window makes the room look dark and cramped; put low pieces there and tall ones against a blank wall.

Frequently asked questions
Where do I find my home's measurements?
Rental and sale listings often include room sizes; if not, ask the owner or building management for the floor plan. If you have a tape measure, just measure and enter each room's width and length; the 20 cm default wall thickness suits most flats.
My furniture isn't the same size as in the library. What do I do?
Pick the closest item and change its width and depth to your own measurements in the right panel. Library sizes are just starting values.
Can I share the plan with my movers?
Yes. Download it as a PNG and send it in a message. Room names and measurements are shown on the image; it's clear at a glance which item goes in which room.
How many plans can I keep on the free plan?
